Chocolate covered sunflower seeds and pstachios

Sunflower seeds are highly nutritious foods that we can have either roasted or raw. They are available hulled or unhulled and form important food supplement. One can even have to option of making these seeds more appealing by having chocolate covered sunflower seeds. These seeds contain healthy fats, proteins, fiber, vitamin E and minerals which are important for our health. However, chocolate covered sunflower seeds is not such a healthy option though more pleasant to taste and look more appetizing.
 
Simple boiled peanuts have been a long time favorite snack. They are commonly opened with the fingers though an inexperienced hand would find it quite a task. The outer shell is to be discarded and the sweet soft boiled peanuts can be eaten. Unlike the roasted variety, boiled peanuts however have a very short shelf life. They cannot be kept for more than a day or so and need to be discarded after that. The peanuts need to be boiled with plenty of water and salt for a period of time till the inner kernels are soft and juicy.

There is nothing as tasty as pistachios to lower cholesterol or increase the levels or Vitamin E and A in your blood. These nuts have a bright green color and are best had roasted which brings out the pistachios actual flavors. The pistachio is a member of the cashew family and this greenish colored nut is found sandwiched between two halves of a shell. They are used in both savory and sweet dishes and also used as a flavoring for milk and ice creams.
